However, when I was restarting all of the Windows Update related services, I was promoted with messages that some of them weren't running in the first place. I'd just thought it best to let you know in windows store wont download apps it might be a contributing factor to my issues with the Microsoft Store.

A few months later I tried reinstalling it onto my PC but it didn't work. After trying everything to fix the issue, it eventually got escalated to an hour long remote session with Microsoft Support.
After trying everything, from WSReset. exe to various Powershell commands, they were unable to fix the issue and told me my only option left was to completely reset my PC and reinstall Windows. I was not willing to go to all that trouble for the sake of a single game so I left it. I built a new PC in late December and a few days ago I redeemed my free code for Minecraft for Windows 10 Edition that I got for being a long-time Java Edition user.
However, today I found myself unable to install either of the two games mentioned on the Microsoft Store. When I'm in my library, windows store wont download apps, I'll try to click on the 'Install' button on either game but as soon as I do so, the 'Install' button, the 'More Actions' button and the date of purchase to the left would all disappear.
If I go to another page and return to my library, the buttons would be back but the download never starts. Occasionally, if I wait long enough after clicking 'Install', I get sent to the relevant game's store page.
The 'Install' button on the store page does nothing either. Also, sometimes when I try and install Sea of Thieves the Store prompts me to choose which drive I wish to install on C or D drivebut nothing else happens after that.
